It's not a new concept that when our spaces are orderly and clean, it does a great deal for our mental health. I have been on a mission to purge and organize our home these last few months but many times, I struggle with where to start.

A good way to decide where to start is to think of problem areas. The problem areas in our home were our pots and pan storage, our linen closet, and our fridge.

FRIDGE

Let's start with the fridge. In our fridge, the trouble is always with where to put stuff. We always have plenty of eggs, fruit, drinks and miscellaneous items but the shelves were a disorganized mess. For Christmas, I asked for these clear organizational bins to keep things contained. Keeping our items contained lend to less spills because the items are enclosed -win!

Our second trouble spot was our pots & pans cabinet. It's been a mangled mess of frustration until we set up this rack. It organizes the pots and lids, it's been a game changer for us. Bonus: it's adjustable!

LINEN CLOSET

Let's talk about our closet linen closet. It was entirely organized by Paul (hubby) who excitedly showed me these storage bags he found online. They come in a set so we decided to use one bag for the king sheets and other for our queen sheets. It minimizes time spent digging and keeps things from toppling over.

He also got this clear plastic set of drawers for items like Tylenol, nail clippers and other personal items. They are stacked and make finding meds and cough drops so much less of a headache.

TOY STORAGE

We have a toddler in the house which means we have lots of toys & books everywhere. They were taking over because we don't have a toy room for her so our living room started feeling less restful & more chaotic! I found this tall thin beautiful cabinet on Amazon and it's been so helpful & easy to hide it allllll away.

ORGANIZATIONAL BOOK

Lastly, hubby gifted me a beautiful

Organizational Book and it's been so helpful. One page I found on purging was particularly helpful. If you struggle to throw things away (as I often do) it has a roadmap that takes you through a simple thought process to help make the decision easier. It doubles as a great coffee table book too!

Even if it's a very small space, bringing organization to your home will contribute to positive mental health and help you better enjoy your home!

XO,

Adriana
